Alessandro Grano is originally from Apulia in southern Italy, and is currently the head chef of La Fromagerie. He creates exciting recipes all based on cheese and few years ago he published his first book “A Year in Cheese“.
He is fond of saying: “Age is something that doesn’t matter, unless you are a cheese“.
Discover the art of Wine and Cheese Matching and how to prepare the perfect cheese board. Ideal for those who love entertaining at home, or indeed simply love cheese and wine!
Class description: Pairing cheese and wine to bring out the best takes a little bit of experience so why not taking time out of your busy weekend to discover two Italian classics: cheese, and wine. During a 2-hour course, you will learn what it takes to become a real cheese tasting master, you will find out how cheeses are made, hear stories about the regions they come from, and you will be able to tell the difference between various kinds of cheese. And last but not least you will have an opportunity to taste a wide selection of cheeses and learn which different cheeses complement each of the Italian wines.
Menu: Tasting of 8 Italian cheeses and 4 Italians wines from different regions in Italy including reds and whites.
